Little Apple: China's "Gangnam style"
Little Apple (小苹果) was a song by the "Chopsticks Brothers", Xiao Yang and Wang Taili, has caused a nationwide phenomenon in China. It was originally used to promote their latest movie but the song and its MV has been viewed more than 50 million times on sites such as Sohu and Youku.
The song is so catchy that everywhere in China, from night club, KTV, gym to shopping mall and smartphone, is playing it, even the local police and army has used it for their recruitment video.
"This song is easy to follow, the pace is basic and repetitive. Even the old ladies in public gardens are learning it quickly," said Zeng Qiumei, a marketing manager from Sichuan province.
