You would have probably notice a blog post on “What It’s like to Fly the $23,000 Singapore Airlines Suites Class” by Derek trending on your Facebook recently.
But it has been getting attentions for the wrong reasons.
Apparently the article had gone so viral that even the original authors and writers had seen the post and managed to spot the similarities.
According to Andy’s travel blog on Facebook, one of the original authors who did a similar review:
If you see a “What it’s like to fly in $23,000 Singapore Airlines Suites” article on your feed today, report it to Facebook. The author of that post stole content from me to create his post, including using pictures without my consent and copying entire paragraphs and changing 2-3 words to make it “different”. Thief.
The article had contents which matched other blogs, some even word for word without getting a mention of it source.
Here are part of the article that were plagiarized from other authors.
There were a few photos which he grab from the original authors as well (Here)
After being complained about plagiarizing on Reddit, he rewrote many parts of the article and removed the photos that doesn’t belong to him.
But he did not apologize or admitted that he had used the content from other bloggers.
The original article was hosted on dereklow.co but has been removed and rewrote here
